Our low-cost markets make access to good, healthy food possible for our community.
Our Community Access Markets sell fresh, high-quality local foods, including veggies, fruits, unprocessed meats, and pantry items at affordable prices. Everyone is welcome to shop for food at our markets in Stratford and St. Marys.
Shopping for fruits and vegetables at an affordable market means your money goes a lot further, allowing you to head home with loads of fresh, high-quality ingredients to prepare healthy meals.
The Stratford market at the Local Community Food Centre at 612 Erie St. is open on Mondays from 4pm – 6pm, and Fridays from 11am – 1pm.
In St. Marys, our Nourish Market is open on the first and third Thursday of every month from 2-4pm. You can find the market at the St. Marys United Church at 85 Church Street South. The Local’s St. Marys market is generously sponsored by the United Way of Huron-Perth.

Our Access Market hits the road, providing high-quality produce at affordable prices to community members in St Marys twice a month.
Our market helps people access fresh, healthy, high-quality food at low prices. Each week, our Food Logistics Manager goes to the Elmira Farmers’ Auction to buy fresh produce in large amounts so we can get the best price. We also work with local farms, businesses, and suppliers to purchase meat, pantry items, and other foods in bulk or at discounted rates. Everything in our market is sold at the same price we pay—we do not add extra costs for profit.
This market is for everyone. We work with local organizations so that people facing food insecurity can shop here alongside others and choose the food that best meets their needs. We want this to be a welcoming, shared space where no one feels judged or left out.
If you are able, and you save money by shopping here, you are welcome to give back through a one-time or monthly donation to help cover the cost of running the market. At the same time, we understand that everyone faces times when life can be hard and money is tight. Everyone deserves access to good food. If you can give, thank you. If you can’t, you are still very welcome here—because that’s what community is. We show up for each other and make sure everyone is fed, in both good times and hard times.
See our calendar for market times.
