Kate’s Kitchen #23 | Roasted Pears

A delicious and elegant dessert with Greek yogurt and nuts explained in fewer than 10 minutes.



  • 4 firm pears
  • 2 tablespoons butter or coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger, or half teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla


  1. Warm oven to 400 degrees
  2. Wash and cut pears into quarters
  3. To make the glaze, melt butter and add ginger and vanilla
  4. Brush pears with glaze and roast in the oven for 45 minutes.
  5. Turn pears every 15 minutes adding more glaze to get the pears nice and caramelized.

    Serve with fresh cream or yogurt, a drizzle of honey or maple syrup, and a sprinkle of walnuts.
