YIELD: MAKES A POT
Ingredients
- 2-3inches fresh ginger, sliced or grated
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1-2 tsp turmeric (or 2 inches fresh)
- 10 whole cloves or ¼ tsp ground
- 1/8 tsp cayenne
- 3 cups water
- Juice of lemon
- 1 tbsp honey
Method
- Stick the ginger, spices, and fresh water in a pot. Bring to a boil, and simmer for at least 15-20 minutes.
- Strain out the spices and pour them into the pot, this is now your tea concentrate. You can store it in a jar in the fridge for 5 days.
- When you are ready to drink, add ½ cup of concentrate to ½ cup hot water with some lemon juice and honey .
