On October 5th, The Local Community Food Centre is partnering with The Stratford Chefs League for a one-of-a-kind fundraiser! Nine chefs from the Stratford Chefs League are each taking a chapter from Director Steve Stacey’s new book, Stratford Food: An Edible History, as inspiration for a dish. This nine-course tasting menu will be a culinary trip through time! Chefs include Yva Santini (Pazzo Taverna), Sean Collins (Mercer Hall), Gilad Rozenberg (The Bruce), Ian Middleton (Stratford Chefs School, The Bruce), Derek Barnes (Wicked Pickle), Tim Larsen (Mercer Hall), Robert Rose (Canadian Grub to Go), our very own Chef/Educator Jordan Lassaline, and Paul Finkelstein’s culinary arts students from the Screaming Avocado Cafe. The event will also include a live auction, with some great experience-based packages to win! ALL proceeds from the event will support the programs and meals at The Local Community Food Centre.
