Strawberry season is sadly at an end. We gathered up the last of ours this week and made a big batch of this bread to serve after our dinner on Monday as well at the 60+ Lunch on Wednesday. The recipe comes from Good Food for All: Seasonal Recipes from a Community Garden, a book published by the Stop CFC in Toronto. The bread turns out delicious and moist. We had many compliments on it after the 60+ Lunch two days after it was made.
